Tip #1 Plan meals, grocery list, and food ahead. Don’t end up hungry at the store!
Tip #2 Make your own food. Eat at home or at your desk.

GROCERY STORE MAP & DO’s
· Plan and prep meals ahead. Be prepared. Choose a day of the week to plan and shop.
· Shop the outside aisles. 80% of groceries on perimeter. Get fruit, veg, meats, eggs, cheese, seafood
· Buy frozen produce Frozen fruits, veg are usually about 20-30% cheaper than fresh and as nutritious.
· Buy what’s in season and local These foods will naturally be less expensive than out of season.
· Read Labels. Avoid unpronounceable 12-letter ingredients. Beware of too much sugar
· Shop the Bulk Section. You will often save money and improve nutrition by buying in bulk (nuts, seeds).
· Check the weekly sales flyer. Stock up on non-perishable items when they’re on sale.
· Eat more whole grains Beans and grains, like quinoa, millet, and rice are an inexpensive and healthy.
· Juice or Make Smoothies at home. Buy your own ingredients and make your own, cheaper & less sugar.
