I know what it’s like to face life-altering health challenges. About ten years ago, I nearly lost my life to a rare autoimmune disorder.
At the time, I was thriving in my corporate marketing career, working with iconic brands like Ralph Lauren, Equinox, and W Hotels. I lived in a vibrant city, led nationally recognized campaigns, and attended glamorous red carpet events. On the surface, life was beautiful. But everything changed in an instant.
I suddenly found myself sick—really sick—and no one could figure out why. I went from doctor to doctor, spent thousands on treatments that didn’t work, and was misdiagnosed repeatedly. My health declined rapidly. I became so ill I had to work from bed, even while launching a new brand for Equinox. Eventually, I couldn’t work at all. My body stopped functioning. I lost over 20 pounds, my ability to be active, my independence—and nearly my spirit.
Those years were filled with fear, frustration, and grief. I lost not just my health, but my relationships, my job, my home, and even trust in the healthcare system. What hurt most? The feeling that no one believed me.
So I took my health into my own hands. I studied nutrition, functional medicine, and alternative therapies. I moved to California to explore acupuncture, elimination diets, and light therapy. While I found bits of relief, nothing truly worked—until I made it to the Mayo Clinic. After extensive testing, I finally received an accurate diagnosis. It was a turning point.
But healing didn’t happen overnight.
Getting a diagnosis gave me clarity. But to truly get better, I had to change everything—how I lived, how I thought, and how I treated my body. I leaned into my faith, which helped me find peace and strength during my darkest moments. I stopped fighting my limitations and started listening to them.
Through a mix of medical care, lifestyle shifts, and deep personal work, I began to heal. Nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, and mindset became my tools. I released toxic patterns, surrounded myself with support, and chose a path of radical self-compassion.
Though I still live with a chronic illness, I now live fully. I feel stronger, healthier, and more aligned than ever—mentally, physically, and spiritually.
I realized there are so many people like me—struggling, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn. Most doctors don’t have time to walk patients through lifestyle changes or long-term healing.
I knew I had to be part of the solution.
So I went back to school. I earned my Master’s degree, became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist through the AFPA, and completed my Wellness Coaching Certification through the Mayo Clinic—the same clinic that helped save my life.
Today, I use my training and lived experience to guide others on their own healing journey. Whether you're facing a chronic condition or simply want to feel better, there is hope. And I’m here to help you find it.
That’s my story—and I’d love to hear yours. 💛
